Becoming the first person to stop Francisco Rosas, Gonzalez beat Rosas via KO in the 2nd round of a 12 round fight. Gonzalez's win streak of 27 rose to 46 following 19 great wins, becoming the First to beat Carlos Cuadras, first to stop Akira Yaegashi and first to stop Ramon Garcia hirales.
On March 18th, 2017, Gonzalez took on and was defeated by Wisaksil Wangek in his first career defeat meaning his career tally went to 46-1-0. Taking the first setback of his career, the March 18th, 2017 Wangek defeat went the full distance and ended via MD.
Gonzalez's next defeat of his career came against Wisaksil Wangek on September 9th, 2017. Opponent Wangek fought a great fight in Gonzalez's most recent bout, one that Gonzalez had no answers for. Wangek became the first person to stop Gonzalez in an upsetting 4th round KO defeat for Gonzalez.
