Having started off in the pro game in September 2012 and having built a perfect unbeaten record of 21-0-0, Hurd (age 34) now looks to move into the later stages of his career and step up against some of the top prospects in the division. In this time he fought and beat Frank Gedeon, George Armenta and Chris Chatman to name just a few, fighting 3 times in 2012 and once in 2014.
Hurd then went on to fight and beat Frank Galarza on November 14th, 2015 maintaining his unbeaten record. Galarza was stopped in the 6th round via TKO crowning Hurd as the first person to stop this opponent.
Oscar Molina was up next for Hurd on June 25th, 2016. Hurd continued with his winning streak by beating Molina. Molina was stopped in the 10th round via TKO crowning Hurd as the first person to stop this opponent.
Ionut dan Ion was beaten next on November 12th, 2016 meaning Hurd could maintain his unbeaten streak. Hurd was the 2nd person to stop Ionut dan and he did it in the 6th round via TKO.
Tony Harrison was up next for Hurd on February 25th, 2017. Hurd continued with his winning streak by beating Harrison. Becoming the 2nd fighter to stop Harrison, Hurd beat Harrison via TKO in the 9th round of a 12 round fight.
The unbeaten run continued with the defeat of Austin Trout in his latest fight on October 14th, 2017, taking his winning record to 21 wins. The most recent outing for Hurd proved one that was easier than expected. Trout was left wanting as the fight ended in round 10 of 12 (RTD). Hurd now moves on to hopefully face some of the bigger names in the division.
