On July 23rd, 2011, Cuellar was in action again beating Hugo orlando Gomez taking his win streak to 17 wins. Gomez proved to be no match for Cuellar, and Cuellar became the first person to stop Gomez via TKO during round 3.
On October 15th, 2011, Cuellar took on and was defeated by Oscar Escandon in his first career defeat meaning his career tally went to 17-1-0. Cuellar's fight against Oscar Escandon was Cuellar's first stoppage defeat of his career. This came via TKO in the 7th round of a 12 round fight. Fights against Rico Ramos, Vic Darchinyan, Juan manuel Lopez and 7 others followed where he won all 10 fights taking his winning streak to 27 wins.
Cuellar kept his losses at 1 by beating Jonathan Oquendo on December 5th, 2015. Cuellar was the 5th person to beat Jonathan Oquendo where he showed his talent as a technical boxer, beating him over 12 rounds in his 29th professional fight.
Cuellar's next defeat of his career came against Abner Mares on December 10th, 2016. Opponent Mares fought well and proved he was technically superior to Cuellar over the full 12 round fight.
