Born May 2nd 1987, orthodox fighter Mateusz Masternak started his career in June 2006 at the age of 19 and has now been pro for 9 years, fighting a total of 41 times. Becoming the first person to stop Levan Jomardashvili, Masternak beat Jomardashvili via TKO in the 5th round of a 10 round fight. 7 wins followed for Masternak including being the first to stop Arturs Kulikauskis, 2nd person to stop Michael Simms and 3rd person to stop Felipe Romero.
On September 15th, 2012 Masternak fought and beat David Quinonero (27-0-0) to continue his unbeaten streak. Quinonero was stopped in the 8th round via TKO crowning Masternak as the first person to stop this opponent. Racking up wins against Shawn Corbin and Juho Haapoja, Masternak went on to fight and win these next 2 fights.
On October 5th, 2013, Masternak took on and was defeated by Grigory Drozd in his first career defeat meaning his career tally went to 30-1-0. Masternak's fight against Grigory Drozd was Masternak's first stoppage defeat of his career. This came via TKO in the 11th round of a 12 round fight. Fights against boxers including Carlos ailton Nascimento, Ruben angel Mino and Jean marc Mormeck followed where he won 8 fights taking his winning streak to 36 wins.
Masternak lost to Tony Bellew in his next fight. Taking place on December 12th, 2015, Masternak's career record after this fight stood at 36-4-0. Outclassed, Masternak took another loss as the judges awarded Bellew the UD win on a great performance.
Mateusz Masternak added another win to his record by beating Eric Fields on April 2nd, 2016, upping his record to 37 wins. Masternak became only the 4th person to defeat Eric Fields in his 27 long fight career, taking his win tally to 37 via the judges decision (UD, round 10).
