Edwards then went on to win his next 16 fights - fighting once in 2002, 4 times in 2003 and 11 times through 2004 and 2005 racking up wins against Carlos Bates, Delfino Marin and Osiris Ayise amongst others.
Edwards then went on to fight and beat Darin Johnson on July 16th, 2004 maintaining his unbeaten record. Darin Johnson was Edwards's next opponent of his career in 2004. The fight was scheduled for 6 and Edwards was the 2nd person to go the distance with Johnson. Fights against Anthony Greenidge, Carlos Bates, Carl Daniels and 13 others followed where he won all 16 fights taking his winning streak to 25 wins.
Taking the first knock of his career, Edwards fought Marcus Johnson on April 30th, 2010 and was defeated by Johnson. Edwards's first defeat came over the full distance against Marcus Johnson on April 30th, 2010. The fight went to the judges in a UD loss for Edwards.
Edwards's career took a knock with a loss against Adonis Stevenson on April 8th, 2011 taking his record to 25-2-0. Being outclassed early, Edwards struggled to get going in this 10 round fight and received the first stoppage defeat of his career at the hands of Stevenson. The fight went 3 rounds before ending via a KO defeat. Edwards then went on to fight a further 2 fights taking his record to 26-2-1
Matt Korobov was next in line for Edwards where unfortunately, he was defeated on December 7th, 2013 taking his record to 26-3-1. Edwards was stopped by Matt Korobov in the 9th round of a 10 round fight via TKO. It was Edwards's 2nd stoppage defeat in his career.
Badou Jack was Edwards's next fight on February 28th, 2014 and also the next win in his career via TKO. This took his record to 27-3-1 showing a mainly successful career to date. Becoming the first person to stop Badou Jack, Edwards beat Jack via TKO in the 1st round of a 10 round fight.
Taking another knock in his career, Edwards fought Andre Dirrell on December 19th, 2014 and was defeated by Dirrell. This latest challenge for Edwards proved to be too much for him, taking a UD loss to the better technical fighter over the 12 rounds and leaving Edwards wondering which direction his career will head next.
