Born November 16th 1985 Marcus Johnson (aged 38) has built up a good career record of 22-2-0. With plenty of experience and now 24 fights as a pro, Johnson hopes to move on to better things in future as he moves into the later stages of his career. He started his best winning streak on September 2004 however, this came to an end on November 2010. In this period he won a total of 20 fights.
Getting rid of his debut fight nerves early, Johnson took on Chroyondray Johnson in September 2004 and claimed a stoppage victory (round 1, KO). Johnson was the first person to have ever stopped Johnson. Continuing on from his successful debut, Johnson continued his winning streak by winning his next 12 fights. In this time he fought and beat Oleksandr Garashchenko, Etianne Whitaker and James Johnson to name just a few, fighting 2 times in 2004, 3 times in 2005 and 7 times through 2006 and 2007.
Johnson then went on to fight and beat Deric Flores on February 9th, 2006 maintaining his unbeaten record. Flores was a worthy challenger but Johnson was too much and became the first person to stop Flores via TKO during round 1. Fights against Etianne Whitaker, Jose Medina, Oleksandr Garashchenko and 5 others followed where he won all 8 fights taking his winning streak to 15 wins.
Julio cesar De la cruz was up next for Johnson on September 27th, 2008. Johnson continued with his winning streak by beating De la cruz. Becoming the 2nd fighter to stop De la cruz, Johnson beat De la cruz via KO in the 7th round of a 8 round fight. 2 wins followed taking Johnson's winning streak to 18 wins.
Johnson then went on to fight and beat Derek Edwards on April 30th, 2010 maintaining his unbeaten record. Johnson really made a statement in this fight, defeating Edwards via UD over the distance and crowning himself as the first person to defeat Edwards in his 25 fight career to date. Johnson then went on to face Kevin Engel where he added another win to his tally.
Johnson went into his next fight against Dyah Davis on April 8th, 2011 with a career record of 20 wins. Coming into the fight with high confidence Johnson fought his next fight against Dyah Davis on April 8th, 2011. Unfortunately, Johnson was outclassed and lost the decision on the judges scorecards taking his record to 20-1-0. Johnson then went on to face Billy Bailey where he added another win to his tally.
Johnson went into his next fight against Thomas Oosthuizen on April 27th, 2012 with a career record of 21-2-0. Johnson fought a brave fight but in the end was outclassed by Thomas Oosthuizen over the 10 distance.
In Johnson's most recent fight, Terrance Smith was handed a beating by Johnson on March 28th, 2014 to ensure his win record increased further again to 22 wins. Taking his total win streak to 22 wins, Johnson defeated Smith in the 6 round fight. The win came via TKO in the 4th round. Johnson was the 6th to stop Smith.
