Taking the first setback of his career, the March 28th, 2015 Ayala defeat went the full distance and ended via UD. Gavril's wins continued and went from 10 wins to 11 after he then defeated Jessie Nicklow.
Gavril went into his next career fight with a record of 11-1-0 and took this to 12 wins with a win against Scott Sigmon on September 12th, 2015. The 10 round fight ended in the 8th round via RTD crowning Gavril as only the 4th to stop Sigmon.
Ronald Gavril went into his fight with Mariano Hilario on December 18th, 2015 with 12 wins and he added another win to his record taking it to 13 wins by beating Hilario. Gavril's win against Hilario was only the 3rd time Hilario had been stopped. The fight finished in the 4th round of a 8 round fight via TKO.
