On May 23rd, 2014, Salvemini took on and was defeated by Marcello Matano meaning his career tally went to 10-3-0 Opponent Matano fought a great fight in Salvemini's most recent bout, one that Salvemini had no answers for. Matano became the first person to stop Salvemini in an upsetting 8th round TKO defeat for Salvemini.
