Although beaten, Philip Bowes has gained plenty of experience over 11 fights and a 3 year long career so far. He now moves on to see just how far he can go as he approaches the later stage of his career. The longest KO streak that Bowes has ever had is 1 throughout his 11 fights and his longest winning streak is 9 wins. This started on October 2011 and came to an end on May 2014.
In October 2011, Bowes took Billy Smith the full 4 round distance in a PTS decision debut win on the judges scorecards. Maintaining a successful start proved easy for Bowes with a further 6 wins, beating boxers such as Dave O'connor, Andrei Sudas and Stanislav Nenkov.
On September 15th, 2012 Bowes fought and beat Dave O'connor (4-2-0) to continue his unbeaten streak. Dave O'connor was Bowes's next opponent of his career in 2012. The fight was scheduled for 6 and Bowes was the 4th person to go the distance with O'connor.
On December 8th, 2012 Bowes fought and beat Stanislav Nenkov (3-0-0) to continue his unbeaten streak. Showing his class against Nenkov, Bowes was the 3rd person to go the distance with this opponent. 4 wins followed for Bowes including being the 3rd person to stop Dean Mills (Round 3 TKO), 5th person to defeat Paul Appleby and 4th person to stop Andrei Sudas (Round 6 TKO).
Unfortunately, the first defeat of Bowes's career came against Joe Hughes on October 11th, 2014 in Bowes's 10th professional fight. Hughes was a push too far for Bowes and after a tough fight Hughes became the first person to beat and stop Bowes in round 10.
Bowes went into his next fight against Johnny Coyle on May 16th, 2015 with a career record of 9 wins. This latest challenge for Bowes proved to be too much for him, taking a PTS loss to the better technical fighter over the 10 rounds and leaving Bowes wondering which direction his career will head next.
