Furthering his career, Alvarado fought Erasmo Mora martinez on March 1st, 2013 and continued his career to a record of 5-1-0. The win came via TKO. Alvarado was the first person to stop Erasmo Mora martinez and he did it in the 3rd round via TKO. Racking up wins against Gonzalo Garcia and Antonio Rodriguez, Alvarado went on to fight and win these next 2 fights.
Ricardo Rodriguez was next in line for Alvarado where unfortunately, he was defeated on March 21st, 2014 taking his record to 7-2-0. Alvarado boxing ability was put under heavy scrutiny in the Rodriguez fight, a test too far for Alvarado as he lost via UD in a judges decision over the 6 round distance.
On May 2nd, 2014, Alvarado took on and was defeated by Rau'shee Warren meaning his career tally went to 7-3-0 A valiant effort from Alvarado, but one that was out of his reach technically. The fight came to a close after the final bell in a UD loss for Alvarado. A setback for Alvarado pro journey for sure.
