Staritng his career off in tremendous fashion in March 2009, Kucher became the 4th quickest fighter to have ever stopped Yuriy Bylynchuk. The fight ended in round 4 via TKO stoppage. Kucher rise in boxing continued with 13 wins against fighters such as Mikhail Nasyrov, Sandro Siproshvili and Ali Ismailov.
Kucher then went on to fight and beat Yuriy Horbenko on August 15th, 2009 maintaining his unbeaten record. In 2009 Kucher fought his next opponent Yuriy Horbenko and defeated him via UD. Kucher was the 3rd person to go the distance with Horbenko. 6 wins followed where Kucher went on to be the 2nd person to stop Mikhail Nasyrov (Round 6 RTD), 4th person to stop Vasyl Kondor and 9th person to stop Teymuraz Kekelidze (Round 2 KO).

Kucher went into his next fight against Ilunga Makabu on July 13th, 2013 with a career record of 21 wins. Taking the first setback of his career, the July 13th, 2013 Makabu defeat went the full distance and ended via MD. Kucher's winning streak went from 21 wins to 23 after he then defeated boxers including Galen Brown and Bobby Thomas jr.
On October 9th, 2015, Kucher was in action again against Bilal Laggoune with the spoils being split with a draw taking his mostly successful record to 23-1-1. Kucher never really got going in the fight against Bilal Laggoune. The final outcome was a SD draw lasting the 12 rounds. A disappointing finish but on that opens up the possibility of a rematch between the two.
