Dominguez's next defeat of his career came against Zahir Raheem on January 4th, 2008 taking his career record to 23-3-2. Raheem upset Dominguez, stopping him in the 1st round and becoming only the 2nd person to stop Dominguez. 8 wins followed where Dominguez went on to fight Guadalupe Rosales, Rafael Guzman and Carlos Urias amongst others, prolonging his win streak.
Keeping his losses at 5, Dominguez fought on December 18th, 2009 beating Reyes Sanchez via KO. This took his record to 30-5-2 showing quite the successful career to date. Dominguez was the first person to stop Reyes Sanchez and he did it in the 2nd round via KO.
Dominguez went into his next fight against Jose Zepeda on July 13th, 2013 with a career record of 37-10-2. Dominguez was stopped by Jose Zepeda in the 3rd round of a 8 round fight via TKO. It was Dominguez's 3rd stoppage defeat in his career.
Taking another knock in his career, Dominguez fought Abner Lopez on March 22nd, 2014 and was defeated by Lopez. Dominguez struggled from the off with Lopez, suffering his 4th stoppage defeat out of 50 career fights. The latest loss on Dominguez's journey came via TKO in round 7.
