The first defeat of Mwekassa's career came against Jozsef Nagy on September 5th, 2008. This took his career record to 8-1-0. Jozsef Nagy became the first person to stop Mwekassa. Mwekassa went into his next fight against Danie Venter on September 22nd, 2012 with a career record of 13-3-0. Taking another knock in his career, Dmitry Kudryashov was next in line for Mwekassa with Kudryashov coming out victorious. Mwekassa career was at 14-4-0 following the fight. Kudryashov upset Mwekassa, stopping him in the 1st round and becoming only the 3rd person to stop Mwekassa.
Zack Mwekassa added another win to his record by beating Bernard Adie on June 28th, 2014, upping his record to 15 wins. The most recent outing for Mwekassa proved one that was easier than expected. Adie was left wanting as the fight ended in round 7 of 12 (TKO). Mwekassa now moves on to hopefully face some of the bigger names in the division.
