Grant went into his next fight against Lennox Lewis on April 29th, 2000 with a career record of 31 wins. Grant was beaten and stopped by Lennox Lewis in the 2nd round. Carlos Takam was next in line for Grant where unfortunately, he was defeated on May 24th, 2013 taking his record to 48-5-0. Takam upset Grant in a 12 round fight, stopping him in the 8th round and becoming only the 4th person to stop Grant.
On October 24th, 2014, Grant took on and was defeated by Manuel Charr meaning his career tally went to 48-6-0 A great performance by opponent Charr added a 5th stoppage defeat to Grant's career. Grant was outmatched and the fight was brought to a halt in round 5 via RTD.
