Mohammedi was a fight too far for Cherviak and after a rough fight Mohammedi became the first person to stop Cherviak in round 6. Cherviak lost to Erik Skoglund in his next fight. Taking place on September 19th, 2015, Cherviak's career record after this fight stood at 15-5-1. There was nothing more Cherviak could have done on the night facing Skoglund. Skoglund put on a great performance to take the win over the 12 rounds.
The next defeat of Cherviak's career came against Enrico Koelling on April 9th, 2016. This took his career record to 15-6-1. A valiant effort from Cherviak, but one that was out of his reach technically. The fight came to a close after the final bell in a UD loss for Cherviak. A setback for Cherviak pro journey for sure.
