Golovkin became the first person to stop Geale. Golovkin then went on to win a further 5 fights taking his record to 35 wins, 0 losses and 0 draws.
On September 10th, 2016 Golovkin fought and beat Kell Brook (36-0-0) to continue his unbeaten streak. Golovkin was the first person to stop Kell Brook and he did it in the 5th round via TKO. Golovkin then went on to fight a further 2 fights taking his record to 37-0-1
On May 5th, 2018, Golovkin was in action again with a win via KO against Vanes Martirosyan taking his mostly successful record to 38-0-1. Golovkin was the first person to stop Vanes Martirosyan and he did it in the 2nd round via KO.
Golovkin went into his next fight against Saul Alvarez on September 15th, 2018 with a career record of 38 wins. Golovkin was left wanting in his latest fight, being beaten over the 12 rounds to suffer his first professional loss in 40 pro fights.
