Rice, aged 19, started his career on February 2012. Although still relatively close to the start of his career, his record stands at 8-1-0 and Rice will want to add some more wins to that throughout the next stage inhis career. He started his best winning streak on February 2012 however, this came to an end on March 2013. In this period he won a total of 6 fights.
Rice fought and defeated Sid Razak in a successful 4 round debut. The decision was left to the judges after the final bell in a PTS result favouring Rice. Following his debut, Rice had an impressive start to his career as he went on to win his next 5 fights including 4 times in 2012 and once in 2013 fighting the likes of as Ivans Levickis, Sid Razak and Mark Mckray.
Rice then went on to fight and beat Paul Haines on March 23rd, 2013 maintaining his unbeaten record. Showing his class against Haines, Rice was the 6th person to go the distance with this opponent.
Unfortunately, the first defeat of Rice's career came against Cassius Connor on July 6th, 2013 in Rice's 7th professional fight. Rice's technical boxing ability was put to the test as he got outpointed in the 3 round fight against the better man. Connor gave Rice his first professional loss of his 7 fight career to date.
Rice kept his losses at 1 by beating Lubos Priehradnik on November 22nd, 2013. Rice was the 48th person to beat Lubos Priehradnik where he showed his talent as a technical boxer, beating him over 8 rounds in his 8th professional fight.
The wins continued with the defeat of Pavels Senkovs on January 30th, 2014 in Rice's most recent fight taking his winning record to 8 wins. Rice became only the 67th person to defeat Pavels Senkovs in his 75 long fight career, taking his win tally to 8 via the judges decision (PTS, round 4).
