On February 13th, 2010, Mitchell took on and was defeated by Jon Baguley in his first career defeat meaning his career tally went to 11-1-0. Jon Baguley became the first person to stop Mitchell. The win came via TKO in the 4th round of a 6 round bout.
Ensuring he added another win to his tally, Vinny Mitchell defeated Daniel Thorpe on May 15th, 2010 in his latest fight. Mitchell became only the 101st person to defeat Daniel Thorpe in his 126 long fight career, taking his win tally to 12 via the judges decision (PTS, round 4).
