Suarez lost to Jason Sosa in his next fight. Taking place on December 8th, 2012, Suarez's career record after this fight stood at 7-2-0. Jason Sosa became the first person to stop Suarez. The win came via TKO in the 2nd round of a 6 round bout.
Suarez's next defeat of his career came against Frank Santos de alba on February 9th, 2013. A valiant effort from Suarez, but one that was out of his reach technically. The fight came to a close after the final bell in a UD loss for Suarez. A setback for Suarez pro journey for sure.
