On December 31st, 2014 Rigondeaux fought and beat Hisashi Amagasa (28-4-2) to continue his unbeaten streak. Rigondeaux was the first person to stop Hisashi Amagasa and he did it in the 11th round via RTD. Another win followed for Rigondeaux taking his win tally to 16 wins.
On July 16th, 2016, Rigondeaux was in action again beating James Dickens taking his win streak to 17 wins. The win happened in the 1st round of a 11 round fight via RTD.
Rigondeaux's next defeat of his career came against Vasyl Lomachenko on December 9th, 2017. In the latest fight of Rigondeaux's career, Lomachenko was a push too far for Rigondeaux and after a tough fight Lomachenko became the first person to beat and stop Rigondeaux in round 6.
