Starting his career in October 2008 at the age of 20, orthodox boxer Shawn Porter has now been pro for 9 years and has built up a career of 29-2-1. Porter now moves into the final stages of his career. He started his best winning streak on October 2008 however, this came to an end on July 2012. In this period he won a total of 20 fights.
In a memorable debut Porter gained a TKO win against Norman Johnson in a 4 round contest, becoming the 2nd person to stop Johnson. Following his debut, Porter had an impressive start to his career as he went on to win his next 16 fights including 3 times in 2008 and 4 times in 2010 against the likes of Raul Pinzon, Ray Robinson and Jamar Patterson.

A great showing of his boxing ability, Porter became the first person to beat Phil Lo greco, beating him over the 10 round distance resulting in a UD victory. Porter's win streak of 21 rose to 24 following 3 great wins, becoming the 3rd person to stop Paul Malignaggi (Round 4 TKO), 2nd person to defeat Devon Alexander and 9th person to defeat Julio Diaz.
Porter went into his next fight against Kell Brook on August 16th, 2014 with a career record of 24-1-1. Porter's first defeat came over the full distance against Kell Brook on August 16th, 2014. The fight went to the judges in a MD loss for Porter.
Erick Bone was the next fight for Porter on March 13th, 2015 and also his next career win. Porter's fight against Erick Bone came in the 5th round of a 10 round fight via KO. Porter became the first person to stop Bone. Porter then went on to fight a further 2 fights taking his record to 26-2-1
Porter kept his losses at 2 by beating Andre Berto on April 22nd, 2017. Becoming the 2nd fighter to stop Berto, Porter beat Berto via TKO in the 9th round of a 12 round fight.
Porter went into his next career fight with a record of 27-2-1 and took this to 28 wins with a win against Adrian Granados on November 4th, 2017. Porter's UD win against Adrian Granados came via judges decision of a 12 round fight. Porter became the 6th person to defeat Granados and secured a great win.
The wins continued with the defeat of Danny Garcia on September 8th, 2018 in Porter's most recent fight taking his winning record to 29 wins. Only the 2nd man to defeat Garcia, Porter made an impressive appearance in his latest outing, earning himself a UD win.
