Starting his career in February 2007 at the age of 23, orthodox boxer Dereck Chisora has now been pro for 11 years and has built up a career of 29-8-0. Chisora now moves into the final stages of his career. He started his best winning streak on February 2007 however, this came to an end on September 2010. In this period he won a total of 14 fights.
In a great debut, Chisora took on Istvan Kecskes in a 4 round fight, becoming the 10th person to stop Kecskes in his 24 fight career to date. Continuing on from his debut, Chisora had an impressive start to his career as he went on to fight 19 fights including 3 times in 2007, 5 times in 2008 and 11 times between 2009 and 2012 against fighters such as Sam Sexton, Danny Williams and Sam Sexton.
Unfortunately, the first defeat of Chisora's career came against Tyson Fury on July 23rd, 2011 in Chisora's 15th professional fight. On July 23rd, 2011, Chisora took on and was defeated over the distance by Tyson Fury in his first career defeat. Chisora lost via UD in a valiant effort. Fights against boxers including Remigijus Ziausys followed where he won 3 fights taking his record to a very mixed 15-3-0, not the most successful career to date.
Chisora lost to David Haye in his next fight. Taking place on July 14th, 2012, Chisora's career record after this fight stood at 15-4-0. Haye was a fight too far for Chisora and after a rough fight Haye became the first person to stop Chisora in round 5. Chisora's wins continued and went from 15 wins to 16 after he then defeated Hector alfredo Avila.
On July 20th, 2013, Chisora went into action again and beat Malik Scott taking the winning record to 17 wins. Becoming the first person to stop Malik Scott, Chisora beat Scott via TKO in the 6th round of a 10 round fight.
Edmund Gerber was the next fight for Chisora on September 21st, 2013 and also his next career win. Becoming the first person to stop Edmund Gerber, Chisora beat Gerber via TKO in the 5th round of a 12 round fight. Chisora continued his success in the next 13 fights taking his record to 27 wins, 8 losses and 0 draws.
On March 24th, 2018, Chisora was in action again with a win via TKO against Zakaria Azzouzi taking his mostly successful record to 28-8-0. The 8 round fight ended in the 2nd round via TKO crowning Chisora as only the 2nd to stop Azzouzi in his career.
Ensuring he added another win to his tally, Dereck Chisora defeated Carlos Takam on July 28th, 2018 in his latest fight. Taking his total win streak to 29 wins, Chisora defeated Takam in the 12 round fight. The win came via TKO in the 8th round. Chisora was the 3rd to stop Takam.
