The fight was due to last 10 rounds. Gumban's win streak of 11 rose to 14 following 3 great wins, becoming the 8th person to stop Lowie Bantigue (Round 1 KO), 2nd person to defeat Marjun Tabamo and 5th person to beat Fernando Ocon.
Gumban then went on to fight and beat John Bajawa on August 24th, 2013 maintaining his unbeaten record. The win against Bajawa came in the 7th round of a 10 round fight via KO. Gumban was the 2nd person to stop Bajawa. Another win followed for Gumban taking his win tally to 16 wins.
Gumban then went on to fight and beat Jason Egera on May 31st, 2014 maintaining his unbeaten record. Gumban was the 11th person to beat Jason Egera where he showed his talent as a technical boxer, beating him over 10 rounds in his 17th professional fight.
