Starting off his pro career on February 2007 age 20, Jonathan Taconing has had a total of 24 fights - 20 wins, 3 losses, and 1 draws. 17 of the wins coming via stoppage. He started his best winning streak on February 2007 however, this came to an end on April 2015. In this period he won a total of 7 fights.
Getting rid of his debut fight nerves early, Taconing took on Tinglot Perez in February 2007 and claimed a stoppage victory (round 1, TKO). Taconing was the first person to have ever stopped Perez. Following on from his debut, Taconing continued his mostly successful career by fighting in a further 12 fights. In this time he fought Quilber Cailing, Jay-ar Bincolado and Warlito Parrenas to name just a few, fighting 3 times in 2007, 4 times in 2008 and 5 times through 2009 and 2010 in this period.
Jay-ar Bincolado was up next for Taconing on February 9th, 2008. Taconing continued with his winning streak by beating Bincolado. Jay-ar Bincolado was Taconing's next opponent of his career in 2008. The fight was scheduled for 6 and Taconing was the 2nd person to go the distance with Bincolado.
Unfortunately, the first defeat of Taconing's career came against Joe Galamition on March 25th, 2008 in Taconing's 5th professional fight. Taconing's technical boxing ability was put to the test as he got outpointed in the 6 round fight against the better man. Galamition gave Taconing his first professional loss of his 5 fight career to date. Taconing then went on to win a further 7 fights taking his record to 10 wins, 1 losses and 1 draw.
Taconing entered his next fight with a mostly successful record of 10-1-1 and took this to 11 wins with a win against Lookdiaw Tor buamas on March 25th, 2011 via TKO. Tor buamas proved to be no match for Taconing, and Taconing became the first person to stop Tor buamas via TKO during round 3. Taconing continued his success in the next 7 fights taking his record to 17 wins, 2 losses and 1 draws.
Taconing went into his next career fight with a record of 17-2-1 and took this to 18 wins with a win against Vergilio Silvano on March 25th, 2014. Taconing's fight against Vergilio Silvano came in the 11th round of a 12 round fight via TKO. Taconing became the first person to stop Silvano. Taconing then went on to win again against Jaipetch Chaiyonggym setting him up well for his next pro fight.
Pushing his career further, Taconing fought Ramon Garcia hirales on April 4th, 2015 adding to his winning record. The 10 round fight ended in the 10th round via TKO crowning Taconing as only the 2nd to stop Garcia hirales.
Taconing went into his next fight against Ganigan Lopez on July 2nd, 2016 with a career record of 20 wins. A blow for Taconing confidence, Taconing was taken the full distance by Lopez and was handed a UD loss on the judges decision. A tough technical fight that leaves Taconing unsure on where his career will head next.
