Setting up his pro career well and building his confidence in the pro ring, Canoy became the 2nd person to take Garry Rojo the distance and claimed a UD debut win. Taking the first setback of his career, the January 12th, 2015 Tomogdan defeat went the full distance and ended via MD. Canoy fought boxers including Rodel Tejares and Jonathan Ricablanca and he went on to win another 2 fights.
Canoy went into his next fight against Jessie Espinas on January 12th, 2016 with a career record of 10-2-1. Canoy faced the first stoppage of his career against Jessie Espinas in the 5th round of a 10 round fight via TKO. Canoy's wins continued and went from 10 wins to 11 after he then defeated Fabio Marfa.
Pushing his career further, Canoy fought Toto Landero on September 3rd, 2016 adding to his winning record. Canoy was the first person to stop Toto Landero and he did it in the 6th round via TKO.
Canoy's next defeat of his career came against Hekkie Budler on February 4th, 2017. Once again Canoy was in a tough fight, one that proved to be a step too far in Canoy's latest fight. Opponent Budler fought well and was rewarded with a win, and crowned only the 2nd man to stop Canoy in the process. The fight ended in round 8 via RTD.
