Having started off in the pro game in September 2012 and having built a perfect unbeaten record of 25-0-0, Islam (age 40) now looks to move into the later stages of his career and step up against some of the top prospects in the division. In a great debut, Islam took on Daniel Beato in a 4 round fight, becoming the 25th person to stop Beato in his 28 fight career to date. Islam then went on to win his next 13 fights - fighting 8 times in 2012 and 5 times in 2013 racking up wins against Jose Vidal soto, Eduardo Flores and Humberto Toledo amongst others.
Keeping his losses at zero, Islam fought on May 23rd, 2014 beating Francisco Cordero. The 11 round fight ended in the 3rd round via RTD crowning Islam as only the 3rd to stop Cordero in his career. 3 wins followed for Islam including being the 3rd person to stop Jonathan Batista, 7th person to stop Fidel Monterrosa munoz (Round 5 KO) and 7th person to stop Orlando de jesus Estrada.
Islam then went on to fight and beat Juan De angel on May 8th, 2016 maintaining his unbeaten record. Becoming the 2nd fighter to stop De angel, Islam beat De angel via TKO in the 6th round of a 10 round fight.
Patrick Allotey was beaten next on October 29th, 2016 meaning Islam could maintain his unbeaten streak. Islam's UD win against Patrick Allotey came via judges decision of a 12 round fight. Islam became the 2nd person to defeat Allotey and secured a great win. Taking his record to 23-0-0. Islam then went on to win his next fight against Robson Assis.
Norberto Gonzalez was up next for Islam on May 26th, 2017. Islam continued with his winning streak by beating Gonzalez. In 2017 Islam fought his next opponent in Norberto Gonzalez. A challenging 12 round fight that ended in Islam's favour as the judges awarded Islam the UD victory. Islam was the 9th person to defeat Gonzalez.
The unbeaten run continued with the defeat of Brandon Cook in his latest fight on September 9th, 2017, taking his winning record to 25 wins. The most recent outing for Islam proved one that was easier than expected. Cook was left wanting as the fight ended in round 9 of 12 (TKO). Islam now moves on to hopefully face some of the bigger names in the division.
