Oba kept his losses at 0 by beating Wisaksil Wangek on February 7th, 2010. Continuing his career, Oba fought Wisaksil Wangek in 2010 over 10 rounds. Oba was the 2nd person to go the distance with Wisaksil Wangek. Oba then went on to win a further 4 fights taking his record to 21 wins, 0 losses and 2 draws.
Oba's next defeat of his career came against Yota Sato on November 1st, 2011 taking his career record to 21-1-2. Sato proved to be too much for Oba, destroying him in round 4 via TKO and bringing the first stoppage defeat of Oba's career.
Oba went into his next career fight with a record of 21-1-2 and took this to 22 wins with a win against Daisuke Ochi on July 1st, 2012. In 2012 Oba fought his next opponent in Daisuke Ochi. A challenging 8 round fight that ended in Oba's favour as the judges awarded Oba the UD victory. Oba was the 9th person to defeat Ochi.
Taking another knock in his career, Oba fought Teiru Kinoshita on November 23rd, 2012 and was defeated by Kinoshita. A blow for Oba confidence, Oba was taken the full distance by Kinoshita and was handed a UD loss on the judges decision. A tough technical fight that leaves Oba unsure on where his career will head next.
