Starting his career in November 2005 at the age of 18, orthodox boxer Juan Kantun has now been pro for 8 years and has built up a career of 21-7-3. The first defeat of Kantun's career came against Wilbert Uicab on August 30th, 2008. This took his career record to 12-1-0. Kantun's fight against Wilbert Uicab was Kantun's first stoppage defeat of his career. This came via RTD in the 8th round of a 10 round fight. Fights against boxers including Charly Valenzuela, Julio Buitrago and Paulino Villalobos followed where he won 7 fights taking his winning streak to 17 wins.
Kantun kept his losses at 1 by beating Eddy Zuniga on October 2nd, 2010. Kantun's fight against Eddy Zuniga came in the 5th round of a 10 round fight via TKO. Kantun became the first person to stop Zuniga.
