In a great debut, Chabot took on Cleophas Elby in a 6 round fight, becoming the 2nd person to stop Elby in his 9 fight career to date. Following his debut, Chabot had an impressive start to his career as he went on to win his next 5 fights including 5 times in 1963 fighting the likes of as Bobby Allen, Cleophas Elby and Ricardo Casas.
Ricardo Casas was up next for Chabot on October 29th, 1963. Chabot continued with his winning streak by beating Casas. Casas was stopped in the 7th round via KO crowning Chabot as the first person to stop this opponent. Chabot then went on to win a further 3 fights taking his record to 8 wins, 0 losses and 0 draws.
Chabot then went on to fight and beat Gabriel Hernandez on January 21st, 1964 maintaining his unbeaten record. Hernandez was a great challenge for Chabot, losing over the full 10 round distance and crowning Chabot as the 4th person to have defeated Hernandez.
Al Chabot was beaten by Manny Ramirez on April 1st, 1965 in his most recent bout. This took his record to 9-1-0. Manny Ramirez became the first person to stop Chabot. The win came via KO in the 9th round of a 10 round bout. Although this has knocked Chabot, let's hope we see another fight of his soon.
