Miyazaki went into his next career fight with a record of 18-0-3 and took this to 19 wins with a win against Carlos Velarde on May 8th, 2013. The win against Velarde came in the 5th round of a 12 round fight via TKO. Miyazaki was the 2nd person to stop Velarde.
