Sai proved he was made for the pro ranks in his debut against Osumanu Saidu, becoming the first person in Saidu's 1 fights to stop him. The fight ended in round 2 of 0. Sai then went on to win his next 12 fights - fighting 4 times in 2008 and 3 times in 2010 racking up wins against Kofi Manu, Isaac Tordjro selom and Joseph Lamptey amongst others.
Next was Kofi Manu on August 2nd, 2008 where Sai took the win continuing his unbeaten streak. Sai was the 5th person to go the distance with Manu. Sai fought Kofi Manu in 2008, the result was via SD. 3 wins followed for Sai including being the 2nd person to stop Osumanu Saidu, 2nd person to stop Ezekiel Afazie and 7th person to stop Joe Nyame (Round 2 TKO).
On May 30th, 2009 Sai fought and beat Aryee Ayittey (2-2-0) to continue his unbeaten streak. Showing his class against Ayittey, Sai was the 5th person to go the distance with this opponent. 9 wins followed where Sai went on to be the 6th person to go the distance with Joseph Lamptey, 4th person to beat Isaac Tordjro selom and 4th person to defeat Joseph Lamptey.
On September 9th, 2011, Sai took on and was defeated by Jamie Cox in his first career defeat meaning his career tally went to 16-1-0. Taking the first setback of his career, the September 9th, 2011 Cox defeat went the full distance and ended via UD. Sai then went on to win a further 5 fights taking his record to 21 wins, 1 losses and 0 draws.
On March 9th, 2013, Sai was in action again with a win via TKO against Gabriel Adoku taking his mostly successful record to 22-1-0. The win happened in the 4th round of a 8 round fight via TKO.
Obodai Sai went into his fight with Abolaji Rasheed on May 15th, 2014 with 22 wins and he added another win to his record taking it to 23 wins by beating Rasheed. The latest fight for Sai was expected to be a challenging one, but Rasheed was disposed of in 7 rounds as Sai moves on to greater things and claims the honour of being first person to have ever stopped Abolaji Rasheed.
