Born February 28th 1980, orthodox fighter Lucian Bute started his career in November 2003 at the age of 23 and has now been pro for 13 years, fighting a total of 37 times. Bute's longest KO streak is 15 fights long out of his 37 pro career fights.
In November 2003 Bute faced Robert Muhammad in his debut bout over 4 rounds, but only 3 were needed as Bute became the quickest person ever to stop Muhammad via a 3 round TKO victory. Bute continued on his journey to success by fighting 2 times in 2003, 7 times in 2004 and 10 times through 2005, 2006 and 2007 beating fighters such as Dingaan Thobela, Sergey Tatevosyan and James obede Toney in his next 19 fights.
Bute then went on to fight and beat Kabary Salem on September 16th, 2005 maintaining his unbeaten record. Salem was stopped in the 8th round via TKO crowning Bute as the first person to stop this opponent. 10 wins followed where Bute went on to be the first to stop James obede Toney, 2nd person to stop William Joppy (Round 10 TKO) and 2nd person to stop Fulgencio Zuniga (Round 4 TKO).
On November 28th, 2009, Bute was in action again beating Librado Andrade taking his win streak to 25 wins. Bute was the first person to stop Librado Andrade and he did it in the 4th round via KO. Bute's win streak of 25 rose to 28 following 3 great wins, becoming the 2nd person to stop Brian Magee (Round 10 TKO), 3rd person to stop Jesse Brinkley (Round 9 KO) and 3rd person to stop Edison Miranda (Round 3 TKO).
On July 9th, 2011, Bute was in action again beating Jean-paul Mendy taking his win streak to 29 wins. Bute was the first person to stop Jean-paul Mendy and he did it in the 4th round via KO. Another win followed for Bute taking his win tally to 30 wins.
On May 26th, 2012, Bute took on and was defeated by Carl Froch in his first career defeat meaning his career tally went to 30-1-0. Bute was beaten by Carl Froch in the 5th round. The win came via TKO in the 5th round.
Bute lost to Badou Jack in his next fight. Taking place on April 30th, 2016, Bute's career record after this fight stood at 32-4-0. Bute fought a brave fight but in the end was outclassed by Badou Jack over the 12 distance.
On February 24th, 2017, Bute took on and was defeated by Eleider Alvarez meaning his career tally went to 32-5-0 Out for his 37th career fight, Bute was once again outmatched where he suffered a 5th round KO loss in only his 2nd stoppage defeat to date. Another blow for the talented Bute.
